January: Pruning
At the beginning of each year, when it is coldest in Georgia, the blueberry plants will attempt to expend lots of energy on staying alive during the cold. By pruning the bushes, or cutting off the useless extra limbs, we allow each plant to have more energy dedicated to growing berries.

Late Winter Budding
Our blueberry plants will begin budding and starting the process of flowering as early as February.

February
Now, the bushes are fully budding and the grass is regrowing. We begin to fertilize and mulch the area.
